The web system ProToCal v3.0 has been developed by a group of teachers of the University of Jaén to help users in surveying calculations. The main goal of this system is to provide an accessible tool for the self-evaluation of the calculations realized by students. This version supposes the updating of two previous systems which have demonstrated the viability of ProToCal for this purpose.

The system is funded by the Vicerrectorado de Ordenación Académica, Innovación Docente y Profesorado of the University of Jaén through 3 projects of teaching innovation. This version includes a new structure of menus and new calculations adapted to photogrammetric subjects.

Since May 2011 we have been developing an English version of this system (http://coello.ujaen.es/protocal/english) for the users who demand it.
